My name is Hugo Hermida Berkowitz, and I founded Hijo de Alquiler because I know all too well the worry of having someone you love far away.

My mother and mother-in-law are both older and live far from me, so I feel first-hand what it means not to be able to be there for the moments that matter to them, and how much it matters to have someone reliable to help when you can't be there yourself.

That personal experience led me to create a companionship service for older adults and people with reduced mobility, built on closeness, commitment, and trust.

To me, accompanying someone means much more than driving them from one place to another. It means arriving on time, listening, paying attention to their needs, staying with them through the whole activity, whether it's a medical appointment, some shopping, or an errand, and making sure they get home safe and at ease.

People who know me point to my reliability, my commitment to punctuality, how I communicate, and the care I bring to how I treat each person. I believe the small details make the difference, and that every client deserves to be treated with patience, respect, and dignity.

I also hold the certification of the Spanish Society of Geriatrics and Gerontology (SEGG), which backs my training in accompanying older adults and reinforces my commitment to a professional, quality service.

With Hijo de Alquiler, you won't get a different driver every visit. It will always be the same person accompanying you, who knows your family member's needs and keeps your family updated whenever you'd like.

My goal is to give every family the same peace of mind I myself would want if someone were looking after my own mother or my own mother-in-law.
